VINTON, LA–JULY 11, 2026–Bigg Tymer Stone closed strongly in the final strides to capture the $75,000 Louisiana Juvenile Stakes on Saturday night at Delta Downs, defeating fellow Apollitical Blood gelding Purple N Gold Blood by a half-length in the 350-yard contest for Louisiana-bred 2-year-olds.
Ridden by Ubaldo Luna, Bigg Tymer Stone stopped the timer in :17.757 while earning a 92 speed index. Breaking from post six, the gray gelding rallied from off the pace and surged late to secure the victory.
Owned by Rancho La Cobra and trained by Adalberto Miranda, Bigg Tymer Stone was bred in Louisiana by Jude or Regina Robicheaux. The gray gelding is sired by champion Apollitical Blood and out of the Sir Runaway Dash mare TF Dashin Ms Perry. The win was his second from five career starts and increased his earnings to $63,915 after collecting the $45,000 winner's share of the purse.

Purple N Gold Blood and jockey Noe Castaneda finished second after a determined effort throughout. The Jose Lopez trainee races for Triple J Racing (Deville Jr.), Jose Espinosa, and Jaime Cardenas.
Bred by Ross Roark, the $122,000 LQHBA Yearling Sale graduate is also by Apollitical Blood and out of the Tres Seis mare Tres Of Jess. His pedigree includes champion Jess Walking Thru ($447,266) as his second dam and AQHA Dam of Distinction Jess Sass Me ($110,503) as his third dam.
The runner-up earned a 90 speed index while covering the distance in :17.837. The gelding now sports a record of 6-0-2-1 with earnings of $31,342. Earlier this season, he was a finalist in both the Grade 2 Mardi Gras Futurity and the Louisiana Bred Laddie Juvenile Stakes.
Conair Cartel finished third under Victor M. Urieta Jr. after overcoming a troubled start and making a late rally to secure the show position. The Santiago Villaseca trainee is owned by Luis Armando Castellanos and was bred by Dennie Mills Partners LLC. The gelding is by Five Bar Cartel and out of the Rakin In The Cash mare Miss Classy Perry.
Conair Cartel completed the race in :17.858 for an 89 speed index. Despite having his three-race win streak snapped, he added another stakes placing to a record that already includes victories in the Louisiana Bred Laddie Juvenile Stakes and a runner-up finish in the Grade 2 Mardi Gras Futurity. He now holds a record of 6-4-1-1 with earnings of $130,788.
Whoozthatlady finished fourth, followed by Thunderrrstruck, LM King Ivory, Hold On Tight, Hollie Lou Ya, Mucho Man Route, and Spicey Tide. Mucho Man Shortstop was scratched.
