VINTON, LA—JULY 11, 2026—Overlooked at odds of more than 20-1, Ttt La Kas broke sharply and never looked back, leading from gate to wire to capture Saturday's $50,000 Nag Nest Stakes for accredited Louisiana-breds at Delta Downs Saturday night.

The 5-year-old daughter of multiple stakes sire Ivan James stopped the timer in 11.693 for the 220 yards, earning a 107 speed index while defeating Lm President Cartel by a neck. Tf Itsy Bitsy Jess rallied late to finish another one-half length back in third, with the margin to fourth just a head.

Owned by Jonathan Meraz, bred in Louisiana by Rickey Thompson, trained by Jose Carrizales, and ridden by Arturo Alvarez, Ttt La Kas earned the winner's share of $30,000. The bay mare is out of Ttt Kas, by Kas I Said So, and broke alertly before maintaining her advantage throughout to secure the black-type victory. A multiple stakes winner, she has earned $175,860 in 31 career starts.

Lm President Cartel finished willingly in second place and earned $10,000. The 3-year-old bay gelding is by champion sire The Louisiana Cartel and out of Delightful Cat, by Red Storm Cat. Bred in Louisiana by Luis Rosales Martinez Jr., he races for his breeder under the ownership of Luis Rosales Martinez Jr., is trained by Luis Martinez Jr., and was ridden by Eddi Martinez. He has banked $60,300 in nine starts.

Closing stoutly to take third was Tf Itsy Bitsy Jess, who collected $5,500. The 5-year-old sorrel gelding is by One Sweet Jess out of Itsy Bitsy Dancer, by Fishers Dash. Bred by Tate Farms, he races for Guadalupe Garza Jr., is trained by Emily Jeane, and was piloted by Bobby Ransom. Tf Itsy Bitsy Jess sold for $7,200 at the 2022 LQHBA Yearling Sale and has earned nearly $100,000 in 24 career starts.

Completing the order of finish were Xdw Jess A Rogue, Blood Kiss, Carry On Moon, Ladies Cruz Higher, Tdz Jes A Train, C The Power, and Konnan Cartel.
