GF Shes Sinful Dominates $744,506 Grade 1 Ruidoso Derby

ALBUQUERQUE, NM–JUNE 6, 2026– Fastest qualifier GF Shes Sinful lived up to her billing Saturday night, delivering a dominant front-running performance in the $744,506 Grade 1 Ruidoso Derby at The Downs at Albuquerque.

Ridden by Noe Garcia Jr., the sorrel filly exploded from the gate and quickly put the race away, drawing clear to cover 400 yards in :18.925 while earning a 107 speed index. The victory was worth $312,693 and pushed her career bankroll to $359,456.

Owned by All In Partners and trained by Wesley Giles, GF Shes Sinful was bred by Kevin A. Birrell. A $50,000 graduate of the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, she is sired by champion Dulce Sin Tacha and out of the stakes-winning Foose mare BF Fooserageous ($245,461), a half-sister to stakes winner BF Shes Outrageous ($120,219).

The filly entered the Ruidoso Derby after a tenth place finish in last season's Grade 1 Texas Classic Futurity, which was her only time to miss hitting the winner's circle. But she came back ready to earn her first stakes victory in the derby, improving her record to five victories from six starts.

Jarvis V and jockey Bryan Candanosa finished second for owner Valeriano Racing Stables LLC and trainer Raymond Valerio. A $260,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate, the gelding was bred by MJ Farms. He is by world champion Apollitical Jess and out of the stakes-winning Big Daddy Cartel mare Donelli ($420,604).

Jarvis V is a half-brother to stakes winner Harken ($410,453), while his female family traces to champions Alice K White ($276,837) and Astica ($411,623). He now owns a record of 11-1-5-3 with earnings of $186,161. The gelding concluded his juvenile campaign with a victory in the Los Alamitos Two Million Juvenile Stakes.

Midnite Smokin finished third under Christian Cardenas for owner Outlaw Farms LLC and trainer James Gonzales III. Bred by Monty McNair, the gelding is a $20,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate. He is sired by The Marfa Lights and out of the Corona Cartel mare Smokin Corona Chick. His female family traces to world champion Whosleavingwho ($1,334,842).

Midnite Smokin now sports a record of 7-4-1-1 with earnings of $122,571.

Envestor finished fourth and was followed by Flying Chance, Politician V, Eagles Diamond, Shimmery, Cowboy Corona 123 and RF Runaway Cowboy.
