CLAREMORE, OK—SEPTEMBER 8, 2025—Nine trials were contested on Monday afternoon at Will Rogers Downs to determine the ten fastest qualifiers for the $218,880 OQHRA Mystery Futurity [RG2], which will be decided on Monday, September 22.

Accredited Oklahoma-bred 2-year-olds sprinted 350 yards over a fast track, and Swift D Swyft posted the fastest time of the day to headline the field advancing to the final.

Swift D Swyft, a gray filly by champion Uncle D out of A Major Chamisa by Major Rime, turned in a sharp performance in the third of nine trials, covering the distance in 17.912 seconds under jockey Christian Ramos.

Trained by Clinton Crawford for owner Katie Larson, Swift D Swyft drew away late to win by 1½ lengths and secure the top qualifying spot. Renee K. Wilson bred the Oklahoma-bred filly, which showed tremendous acceleration despite stumbling slightly at the start.

Swift D Swyft was making her first start since an Allowance win at Ruidoso Downs in June. Before that, she posted her only off-the-board performance in five starts in the $170,881 Four Corners Futurity. She has earned $26,084 with three wins in five starts.

The second-fastest qualifier came from the seventh trial, where Forever Midnight closed with a powerful late run to stop the clock in 17.938 seconds. The gray gelding by champion Kvn Corona out of First N Forever by First Moonflash is trained by Michael W. Joiner and was ridden by Francisco Calderon.

Forever Midnight races for Linda Joiner and Smith Children Trust was bred in Oklahoma by the Smith Children Trust. After breaking second, he reeled in his rival late to win by three-quarters of a length. Scoring his second win six starts, Forever Midnight has earned $18,576.

The third-fastest qualifier, Kvn Design, prevailed in the eighth trial with a determined rally along the rail to post a time of 17.985 seconds. The gray filly, also sired by Kvn Corona, is out of Okey Design by Okey Dokey Dale and is trained by Cosme Velasquez for owner Saul Colin.

Ridden by Roman Cruz, Kvn Design surged past early leaders inside the final yards to edge clear by more than a length in the third fastest time. She was bred in Oklahoma by Geo H. Suthers and went through the 2024 Heritage Place Yearling Sale, where she was a $25,000 RNA. Kvn Design has a perfect 3-for-3 record and has banked $23,866.

The ten fastest qualifiers from today's trials will return to Will Rogers Downs on Monday, September 22, to vie for the winner’s share of the $218,880 purse in the 350-yard final.
