SHELBYVILLE, IN–AUGUST 30, 2025–It was no secret who had the best speed Saturday, August 30 in the Quarter Horse Racing Association of Indiana (QHRAI) Stallion Service Auction (SSA) Futurity Juvenile as TW No Beach Secrets rode the wave to the wire for the win. The race was for starters in the QHRAI SSA Futurity Trials who did not qualify for the $230,111 Restricted Grade 3 final, set later in the card.

Diego Villamil Bocanegra broke from the gate aboard TW No Beach Secrets in the center of the track and was immediately in contention for the lead. The freshman filly battled with Ole Slew Foot and Martin Munoz from the inside throughout the 350 yard dash before taking over late in the race, winning by one-half length in :17.827. Ole Slew Food finished a nose ahead of Jess Sinful and Francisco Quintero.

This victory marks the second stakes win of the day for Bocanegra and third in his career. TW No Beach Secrets, who just missed the top 10 qualifiers for the QHRAI SSA Futurity Final, paid $9.40 for the win.

The Escondido Beach gelding gave breeder Thomas Wylie back to back wins in the consolation rounds of the QHRAI SSA Derby and Futurity, joining Escondido Gold as winners on the day. Wylie retained ownership of TW No Beach Secrets, who is trained by Natasha Perez and out of No Secrets Hereither, by First Down Dash.

“I knew he (TW No Beach Secrets) had it in him,” noted Perez. “He just had a bad trial. Glad to see him get this win today.”

It was the second career win for TW No Beach Secrets in only his fifth career start. After finishing second in his trial of the QHRAI SSA Futurity and unfortunately finishing 11th on the list of 78 vying for a top 10 spot in the gate for the final, TW No Beach Secrets increased his career earnings to nearly $40,000, including a fourth place finish in the Gordon Mobley Futurity on July 19.

“Years ago, Paul Martin, who I’ve known for a long time, called me and told me I needed to switch my horses to Natash (Perez),” said Wylie. “I have so much respect for her and Saul (Perez, Natasha’s husband). She’s an amazing horse woman and they are good people. What I really enjoy about this is that we work as a team.”

Ole Slew Foot, a sorrel gelding by Eos A Political Win, set the pace early under Martin Munoz before settling for second, a nose in front of the show horse.

The Texas-bred gelding is out of Flashy Lota by Lota Pyc and was bred and is owned by Whiting Ranch. Ricardo Martinez saddled the runner-up, who has yet to break his maiden but has now banked $10,910 from five career starts with two seconds and a third.

Third-place finisher Jess Sinful, a sorrel filly by Dulce Sin Tacha, put in a steady effort under Francisco Quintero to finish another neck back. Bred in Oklahoma by Flag Ranch LLC, the filly is out of Ja Jess Elegance by Mr Jess Perry.

Anthony Cunningham trains and owns Jess Sinful, who was a $30,000 purchase from the 2024 Heritage Place Yearling Sale. From four career outs, she remains a maiden but has posted three seconds and one third with $12,050 earned.

One Grand Eagle, Cyber Flash, Moonin to the Jazz, Lb Favorite Delight, Lil Mz Win, Lets Get After It, and Apollitical Speed completed the order of finish.

The 23rd season of live Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing runs through Thursday, Nov. 13. For more information on racing at Horseshoe Indianapolis, visit www.caesars.com/horseshoe-indianapolis/racing or find details on social media @HSIndyRacing.
