MALAD CITY, ID—AUGUST 10, 2025—A Jazzy Tres Seis, a 3-year-old sorrel filly by Tres Seis out of Pipers Tune by Bono Jazz, would not be denied in a determined effort to win Sunday’s $17,800 Oneida County Fair Board Mixed Breed Derby at the Oneida County Fair.
With Oscar Villa aboard, she covered the 300 yards over a fast track in 15.362 seconds, earning a 101 speed index into a light 5-mph crosswind. The Utah-bred filly, bred and owned by W3 Farms and trained by Sergio Canales, picked up $7,120 for the victory.
A multiple stakes winner, A Jazzy Tres Seis has compiled a (13) 4-3-1 record and banked $40,283. She won the Utah Derby earlier this year.
El Treen, a brown colt by Freighttrain B out of After Party by One Famous Eagle, dueled gamely but came up just short by a neck. Ridden by Raphael Romero for owner-breeder Adrian Aleman of Utah and trained by Jorge Paredes, El Treen finished with a 99 speed index to earn $4,272 for second. The multiple-stakes-placed fastest qualifier has earned $20,477 in 25 career starts.
Sheknowsshepunky, a sorrel filly by Daguerre out of Punky Red by Red (TB), ran a game third, another length back. Owned and bred by Edward C. Jamison of Idaho and trained by Glen Jamison, Jesus Virgen rode her. She collected $2,670 for the effort, pushing her earnings to $13,391.
A Jazzy Tres Seis paid $17.60 to win, $6.60 to place, and $4.00 to show. El Treen returned $6.00 to place and $4.00 to show, while Sheknowsshepunky paid $4.80 to show
