Alberta Quarter Horse Racing Association has announced that consignments are now being accepted for the 2026 Canada Quarter Horse Cup Yearling and Mixed Sale, scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Calnash Ag Event Centre.

ALBERTA, CAN–MAY 27, 2026–Alberta Quarter Horse Racing Association has announced that consignments are now being accepted for the 2026 Canada Quarter Horse Cup Yearling and Mixed Sale, scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Calnash Ag Event Centre.

The annual sale, held in Ponoka, Alberta, has continued to grow as a showcase for Canadian Quarter Horse breeding and racing, offering buyers an opportunity to purchase yearlings and mixed sale offerings from some of Western Canada’s leading programs. The consignor entry deadline has been set for July 1, with horsemen encouraged to submit entries early.

The sale is once again tied to the Canada Quarter Horse Cup Futurity program, which offers an estimated $35,000 added for the 2027 Sale Stakes Futurity. The futurity finals are scheduled for Saturday, September 12 at Century Mile Racetrack and Casino.

Promotional material for the sale highlights several recent graduates, including 2025 Sale Stakes Futurity winner Cerveza’s Fire and Canada Quarter Horse Cup Futurity winner West Southwest, reinforcing the sale’s reputation for producing successful runners on the racetrack.

The event will also offer both live and online bidding opportunities, allowing buyers from across North America to participate.
