SHELBYVILLE, IN–May 10, 2026—The Thursday afternoon card at Horseshoe Indianapolis will feature a 12-race program with first post at 2:10 PM, highlighted by thirty-one Indiana-Bred sophomores competing in four trial heats for the Harley Greene Derby Trials. The featured trials will begin in race nine at approximately 6:15 PM, as the talented group of three-year-olds battles for the ten fastest qualifying times to return in the $75,000 Harley Greene Derby Final on May 30th.
Trainer Tim Eggleston will lead all conditioners, with seven entrants spread across the four trial heats, including one of the top contenders, Rock N The Beach, in the opening heat.
The accomplished three-year-old gelding makes his seasonal debut after an impressive juvenile campaign. The gelding finished on the board in all six starts as a two-year-old and closed the season on a three-race win streak. His resume includes victories in the $360,000 Miss Roxie Little Futurity and the Gordon Mobley Futurity trials, along with a second-place finish in the Gordon Mobley Futurity Finals. He enters the trials with earnings of $259,890.
Bred in Indiana by Jeffrey Sheets, the gelding is sired by Escondido Beach and out of the Pyc Fast Girls Rock mare Pyc Fast Prize. Eggleston will saddle the gelding from the outside post eight with jockey Rolando D. Pina aboard.
The final trial heat in race twelve features another standout, Cv Denali, who closed out her juvenile season with a runner-up effort behind Rock N the Beach in the Miss Roxie Little Futurity, her only defeat in four career starts. Prior to that effort, the talented filly captured two trial victories, including the $196,000 Gordon Mobley Futurity, and enters Thursday evening with earnings totaling $196,110 for owners Campos Family Ventures, LLC.
The Indiana-bred filly is also sired by Escondido Beach and is out of the Botticelli Shake mare Genuine Botticelli. Bred by Sheri Miller, Cv Denali will break from post three with jockey Edgar Diaz for trainer Claudio Barraza.
With thirty-one Indiana-Bred sophomores set to sprint 350 yards, every stride will matter as the contenders vie for one of the coveted ten spots in the Harley Greene Derby Final. Thursday evening’s trials promise an exciting showcase of rising talent at Horseshoe Indianapolis, as the road to the May 30th final takes center stage.
