PHOENIX, AZ–DECEMBER 21, 2025—The Monday afternoon program at Turf Paradise will feature an eight-race card highlighted by two key juvenile events: the $22,800 AQRA Turf Paradise Open Futurity Consolation Stakes and the $98,800 AQRA Turf Paradise Open Futurity. First post is scheduled for 1:15 PM, with promising two-year-olds taking center stage over 400 yards.
The $22,800 AQRA Turf Paradise Open Futurity Consolation Stakes will open the card as race one, bringing together ten juveniles who ranked as the second-fastest qualifiers from the November 29 trial heats.
Leading the field is I Am All the Way Up, the 3-1 morning line favorite. The gelding broke his maiden with a victory in his trial heat and enters with a record of one win and two seconds from five starts, banking $10,347 for owners Chuck and Erica Jaure.
Sired by Kiddy Up and out of the Stel Corona mare Too Gabby, I Am All the Way Up was bred in California by Edward C. Allred. Dru S. Hall conditions him and will break from post seven with Manuel Americano taking the call. This competitive group of juveniles is expected to provide fans and bettors with an exciting start to the afternoon.
The feature event follows in race two, the $98,800 AQRA Turf Paradise Open Futurity, which will showcase the fastest ten qualifiers from the November 29 trials, also contested at 400 yards.
London Bridge tops the field as the 3-1 morning line favorite after posting the fastest qualifying time and winning his heat by three-quarters of a length. The lightly raced gelding has finished on the board in both of his career starts.
London Bridge is sired by Mental Error and out of the Foose mare No Arizona. Bred in California by Steve D. Burns, DVM, he races for owner Lionel Zapata, who purchased him for $47,000 at the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. Trained by Andres Gonzalez, he will leave from post three with Luis A. Valenzuela in the irons.
Looking to challenge the favorite is Cant Be Swayed, listed as the 4-1 second choice on the morning line. The gelding has been impressive, winning three of four starts and earning $20,202 for owners Alejandro Nieblas and Giovanni Ibarra Morales.
Sired by Lota Pyc and out of the Valiant Hero mare Valiant Chic, he was bred in Texas by Whiting Ranch. Alex Garcia trains him to race from post five with Jose L. Enriquez aboard.
With two substantial juvenile stakes anchoring the program, Monday’s card at Turf Paradise promises an afternoon of competitive racing and emerging talent as the next generation of quarter horses looks to make a statement.
