Turf Paradise will offer five trials for the AQRA Turf Paradise Open Futurity on Saturday's race card.

PHOENIX, AZ–NOVEMBER 26, 2025—The Saturday program at Turf Paradise offers an action-packed afternoon as forty-seven juveniles line up across five trial heats for the AQRA Turf Paradise Open Futurity. The eleven-race card begins at 12:15 PM, with all futurity trials contested at 400 yards. Only the ten fastest qualifiers will earn their place in the finals on December 22, where an estimated purse of $70,000 awaits.

Hez Gifted leads the opening trial as the 3-1 morning line favorite and brings the most accomplished résumé of the entrants. A four-time winner, the gelding was a finalist in the $235,750 Wyoming Downs Futurity earlier this season, finishing fourth, and enters these trials as the highest money earner in the field with $43,473.

Sired by Genetically Gifted and out of Girl Like by Kiddy Up, Hez Gifted was bred in Utah by his owner, Michael K. McKell. Savana Canales will saddle the accomplished juvenile, who breaks from the inside rail under jockey Jesus J. Canales.

Rue commands attention in the third trial at 3-1 morning line odds. Perfect through three starts, the filly already boasts a signature win in the $52,000 AQRA Presidents Open Spring Futurity. Purchased for $60,000 at the Heritage Place Sale, she races for J Lazy Six Racing.

Sired by Flying Cowboy 123 and out of First Caroline Rose by Corona Cartel, Rue was bred in Oklahoma by William E. Smith. Trainer David John Williams sends her out from post two, with Kevin Carbajal getting aboard for the first time.

Across the first five races, forty-seven juveniles will battle for a coveted spot in the top ten qualifying positions. With promising bloodlines, proven stakes performers, and rising talent throughout the card, fans can expect an exciting afternoon of futurity trial action at Turf Paradise.
