The evening’s quarter horse spotlight begins in race nine with a field of nine 2-year-olds.

The son of Five Bar Cartel out of Make Me a Mojito by Make It Anywhere is bred and owned by Cesar Albino Martinez. Haley N. Hobbs trains him and will break from post five with Mario Delgado aboard.

A full field of sophomores headlines the tenth race, with L Conejo installed as the 5-2 morning line favorite. The gelded son of One Sweet Jess out of Bunny Run Now by I Want It Now has been a model of consistency, hitting the board in 10 of 14 career starts with earnings of $51,305. Winner of the $29,000 North Star Derby earlier this season, L Conejo is bred by Jaqueline Moreno and is owned and trained by Haley N. Hobbs. Mario Delgado rides from post six.

At 3-1 sits Da Lie Lah, a talented filly by Apollitical Jess out of Paint Or More by Pyc Paint Your Wagon. Bred and owned by Lunderborg, LLC, she has banked $42,520 from 10 starts, with five top-three finishes. Conditioned by Jason L. Olmstead, she’ll race from post three with Armando Alvidrez up.

The Derby field will contest 400 yards with post time set for 9:36 p.m.

Closing the card is the Cash Caravan Stakes, open to Minnesota-breds three and up.

Veteran Relentless Legacy highlights the lineup, bringing a resume that includes multiple graded stakes wins and $150,355 in earnings. The 6-year-old son of Hes Relentless out of Legacys a Streakin by Streakin La Jolla was bred by Donald J. Friesen. Owner Tom Maher purchased him for $25,000 at Heritage Place, and he’ll start from post six under Armando Alvidrez for trainer Jason L. Olmstead.

Olmstead also saddles Beep Beep Rev Rev, a 5-year-old mare by A Revenant out of Etta Betta Zoom by Shazoom. Bred and owned by Summer Run, Inc., she starts from the rail with Francisco R. Ramirez, Jr. aboard.

Seven older horses will go to the gate at approximately 10:04 p.m. in the night’s closing stakes.
