GLLETTE, WY—JUNE 12, 2025—The $124,100 Energy Downs Maturity, Race 5 on the card at Energy Downs 307 Horse Racing on Saturday, will showcase a talented field of Quarter Horses aged three and up, all gunning for victory at the 400-yard distance. Post time is set for 3:10 PM MDT.

Leading the field as the 4-1 morning-line favorite is Fire Of The Mountain, a consistent and accomplished 5-year-old gelding by multiple stakes sire Jr Dynasty Mountain out of Sheza Signature by Vital Sign.

Bred in Utah by his owners, Larry and Joyce Mower, the bay gelding is trained by Joe Hadley and will be ridden by Jesus Virgen. Fire of the Mountain enters the final off a sharp trial win on May 31, clocking a quick 19.930 while drawing clear late.

The Utah-bred has won nine of twelve lifetime starts and amassed $80,035 in earnings. Fire Of The Mountain captured the 2024 Blane Schvaneveldt Stakes at Los Alamitos and has held strong company throughout the intermountain circuit.

Second choice at 9-2 on the morning line is Imaginacion, a 4-year-old gelded son of Hes Relentless out of Pollitical Scorpion by Apollitical Jess, bred in Oklahoma by Jahree Standridge. Acquired for $11,000 at the Heritage Place Yearling Sale, Imaginacion is trained by Joe M. Davis and will have regular pilot Edwin G. Escobedo aboard.

The Imaginacion Partners-owned runner is coming off a powerful wire-to-wire trial score on May 31 at Energy Downs, stopping the clock in 19.894 and earning a 102 speed index. He was a nose runner-up two starts back in a salty allowance at Remington Park and owns four wins and $83,271 in earnings from 18 starts.

Both runners will face stern competition from a cast that includes multiple stakes winner Just A Flyin Cowgirl, who won her trial impressively with a 104 speed index, and Love Kiss J Lee, an ultra-consistent 6-year-old who edged his trial rivals and boasts 7 career wins.

The Energy Downs Maturity will be contested as the fifth race on the card. Wagering options include $2 Win, Place, Show, $2 Exacta, and $1 Trifecta.

This marquee event highlights an afternoon of competitive Quarter Horse racing in Wyoming, with Fire Of The Mountain and Imaginacion ready to square off in a battle of speed and experience.
