MEXICO CITY, MEX–AUGUST 10, 2025–The Singaporean won the $44,175 AQHA Hipódromo De Las Américas Championship Challenge on Sunday afternoon.
Piloted by Heriberto Camacho, the son of Mr Apollitical Dash, posted a 104 speed index while stopping the timer in 21.39 seconds, defeating Docs Famous Card and Magical Jess. The Singaporean entered the race as the post-time favorite.
The Singaporean has compiled a record of 7-6-4 from 19 starts, earning over $130,000 while racing in both the United States and Mexico. This victory marks his first stakes win in Mexico and the second of his career.

His résumé includes a win in the Sweetwater Downs Futurity, along with runner-up finishes in the Ron Moosman Utah Bred Futurity, Hipódromo Championship Challenge, and Hipódromo Derby Challenge. The four-year-old gelding is owned by Cuadra Alpuyeca and trained by Antonio García Carranza. Bred in Utah by Casey Whitaker, The Singaporean is out of Easily Ratified, by Desirio.
Runner-up Docs Famous Card, the only filly in the field and the youngest competitor at three years old, finished second under jockey Arturo Vega Moreno. Sired by Docs Best Card, she races for owner San Lazaro de ARARA and has yet to break her maiden from four starts.
She entered the stakes race off a fourth-place finish in the AQHA Derby Challenge on June 22, 2025. Breaking from post two, she was again piloted by Arturo Vega Moreno. The filly was bred in Texas by Jaime Gomez and is out of Famous N Hot, by One Famous Eagle.
Magical Jess made a notable return to racing after last competing in the United States in 2017. His most recent official start was a victory in the 2027 Ruidoso Derby-G1. During his freshman campaign, he placed second in the Desert Classic Futurity, third in the Ruidoso Juvenile Stakes, and fifth in the All American Futurity-G1. The California-bred gelding has now earned $421,650 in the U.S. and added $6,630 for his third-place finish in Mexico.
A $6,200 purchase at the 2024 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale, Magical Jess is a son of One Sweet Jess out of Magic And Rhythm, by Red Hot Rhythm. He was bred by EG High Desert Farms and is owned by Cuadra JJ. Trainer Julián Gutiérrez named E. A. Garcia to ride.
