ALEXANDRIA, LA–JULY 21, 2026–The Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders Association (LQHBA) will host a special event at the 2026 LQHBA Yearling Sale in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of their annual Quarter Horse Sale.

Customer Appreciation Day will take place on Friday, July 31, opening day of the two-day LQHBA Yearling Sale at Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder Louisiana. The first of 457 Horses will enter the Sale ring, and special events will take place throughout the day in the Sale Pavilion.

Robicheaux Ranch, Inc. will be serving complimentary lunch for all sale attendees, and a “Happy Hour” with Appetizers and refreshments will begin in the Pavilion following the conclusion of the Friday afternoon sale.

Gyth Rigdon, a Louisiana native and recording artist who appeared on Season 19 of “The Voice” on NBC, will perform. He is the son of Quarter Horse trainer and breeder Paul Rigdon and became a LQHBA Director serving South West Louisiana this year. 

Booths, displays and an array of vendors will be on hand to meet and greet visitors to the 2026 LQHBA Yearling Sale. Special thanks to the following event sponsors:

The Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders Association (LQHBA) is the state racing affiliate of the American Quarter Horse Association.  It is also the official registry for accredited Louisiana-bred racing Quarter Horses and is recognized by the Louisiana Legislature and the Louisiana State Racing Commission.  Since its inception in 1966, the association has developed many programs to further breeding and racing in Louisiana.
