ELGIN, TEXAS- JANUARY 28, 2026 –At the December 2025 TQHA Board of Directors meeting, the Texas Quarter Horse Association approved an increase to select membership categories, with 100% of the additional funds designated for the TQHA Foundation. The foundation provides scholarship funding awarded annually by the association.

Under the new structure, a one-year individual membership is $40, with $10 directed to the TQHA Foundation, while a three-year individual membership is $100, including a $25 contribution. One-year joint memberships are now $50 with $10 allocated to the foundation, and three-year joint memberships are $125 with $25 directed to scholarship funding.

Lifetime memberships ($500), youth lifetime memberships ($100), and one-year youth memberships ($20) remain unchanged.

The updated fees will take effect February 2, 2026. Members are advised to discard any previously issued Racing Stock, Breeding Stock, transfer, or membership application and renewal forms. Updated forms will be available beginning February 2 through the association or for download at TQHA.com.
