TOPEKA, KS–DECEMBER 11, 2025–As part of its mission to grow Quarter Horse racing in Kansas, the Kansas Quarter Horse Racing Association (KQHRA) invites owners and breeders to participate in the Kansas Jackpot Stallion Auction.
The auction will take place online from 8:00 AM Monday, December 15, 2025, through 11:00 PM Saturday, January 31, 2026. Live bidding will also be available during the association’s convention at Gilley’s in Park City, KS.
The deadline to donate a stallion is less than a week away. For details or to make a donation, visit ksqhra.com.
The Kansas Jackpot Stallion Auction – along with the Kansas Jackpot Futurity for offspring of participating stallions – was the first program of its kind in the nation. For more than 33 years, KQHRA maintained this tradition, and now the association has the opportunity to bring it back, better than ever. However, this effort depends on the continued support of breeders and industry participants.
A portion of the funds raised through the auction will be dedicated to the Kansas Jackpot Futurity, while the remaining proceeds will be used to help protect and strengthen the horse racing industry within the state. In addition, 5% of the purse money will be awarded to the winning sire owner and 2% to the winning dam owner.
As a non-profit organization, KQHRA is committed to creating more opportunities for Quarter Horse racing in Kansas. This renewed program will launch with the $50,000-added 2029 Kansas Jackpot Futurity, marking an important new chapter for the sport in the state.
KQHRA encourages breeders and supporters to participate and continue the tradition of investing in the future of the Quarter Horse industry.
