The 2025 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale will be held August 29 and 30 in the Ruidoso Horse Sales' Pavilion at Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico.

RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM–AUGUST 26, 2025–All American Ruidoso Horse Sale Company will kick-off its annual Ruidoso Select QH Yearling Sale on Friday at 3:00 p.m. (MDT)

Due to unprecedented flooding in Ruidoso again this year, officials will conduct the two-day in Ruidoso Downs on Friday and Saturday and the All American races will be held on Monday, September 1 at The Downs at Albuquerque.

The annual sale will be held over two sessions at the Ruidoso Downs Sales Pavilion, 100 N. Joe Welch Road, east of the racetrack.

"This should allow horsemen and racing fans to spend Friday and Saturday at the horse sales and return to Albuquerque in time for the major races on Monday," Sale Manager Walt Wiggins said.

Last year's sale grossed over $26.1 million and averaged $83,293 per head.

The opening session, featuring Hips 1 through 240, will be held on Friday, and the second session, featuring Hips 241 through 481, will be held on Saturday. The sale will begin at 3:00 p.m. (MDT) on both days.

Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale Online Bidding

Online bidding for the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale will be offered by DVAuction. Prospective buyers who want to bid online for the upcoming sale must do two things:

1. Create an Account
2. Complete and email an Online Bidder Application

To create an account, go to www.dvauction.com and click the "Create New Account" Tab. Follow all the instructions, complete the online form, and verify your email. For online registration questions, call DVAuctions at (402) 316-5460.

All American Horse Sales Company must approve potential bidders for online bidding. CLICK HERE to complete an Online Bidder Application, then email the completed form to wwiggins@raceruidoso.com.  Call the sales office at (575) 378-4474 for online bidding approval questions.

On the day of the sale, go to www.dvauction.com and log in with your username/email and password in the top left-hand corner. Then scroll to the green "view" tab that says Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. This will take you to the sale; follow the instructions on how to bid.

Online bidding will be available at the start of the sale each day, which begins promptly at 3:00 (MDT).
