On Saturday, July 12th, the OQHRA will be hosting a Youth Racing Experience for individuals aged 16 to 18. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a full day of activities at the Fair Meadows Track in Tulsa.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–JUNE 30, 2025–Have you ever wondered what it takes to train a racehorse? Well, now is your chance to go behind the scenes and learn all about what it takes to run a race barn. You will also get a glance at how the race track operates on a race day. We will meet with racing officials and professionals. So if you have ever wanted to know more about Quarter Horse Racing and all that goes with it you won’t want to miss out on this!

On Saturday, July 12th OQHRA is hosting a Youth Racing Experience, where people ages 16-18 can take part in a day long experience at Fair Meadows Track in Tulsa.

The day will start with interacting with trainers, watching horses work on the track, learning the step-by-step process of entries, learning how many people are needed and what it takes to create a day of racing.

What: AQHA Regional Youth Racing Experience
Where: Fair Meadows at Expo Square, Tulsa Oklahoma
When: Saturday, July 12, 2025 8am – until the end of the Race Day (lunch provided)
Who: Youth from 16-18*

This experience is open to youth interested in Quarter Horse racing. One person will be selected to attend the National AQHA Youth Racing Experience at The Downs Racetrack in Albuquerque, NM on October 16-19, 2025.
