ALEXANDRIA, LA–JUNE 11, 2024–Interested buyers can review consignments online for the upcoming LQHBA Yearling Sale scheduled for Friday and Saturday, August 1-2, at the Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, Louisiana.

The 49th annual Louisiana Bred Yearling Sale will feature 519 yearlings eligible to participate in the nation's #1 state-bred program. The two-day session starts on Friday, August 1st, with hips 1-260 and ends on Saturday, August 2nd, with hips 261-519.

Louisiana-bred horses run for more than $20 million in purse money each year, with a guaranteed minimum of 153 Quarter Horse race days.

All yearlings passing through the ring have been nominated for the 2026 $1-million-dollar LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity(RG1).

Bruce Salard, LQHBA Executive Director, said hard copies of the catalog will be dropped in the mail in early July.
