Take Off Jess who finished second in the 2004 All American Futurity will begin his stallion career in 2005 at Lazy E Ranch in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
The top money earner this season of leading sire Mr Jess Perry, Take Off Jess is a winner of two races and three seconds including the Grade 1 All American and Grade 1 West Texas Futurities. He earned $380,087 as a 2-Year-Old.
Take Off Jess is out of Takeoff Royally, a full sister to Champion 3-Year-Old and Champion 3-Year-Old Filly Royal Down Dash ($405,384) and a 3/4 sister to stakes winner Time For Royal Cash ($313,583).
Owned by Jimmy Harrell and Joe Peacock, Take Off Jess was purchased from Henry E. Brown's Ruidoso Select Sale consignment in 2003. He was trained by Jack Brooks.
Lazy E Ranch manager Butch Wise said Take Off Jess would stand for a fee of $2,000 and his foals will be eligible to the Lazy E Futurity and Derby, Speedhorse Gold & Silver Cup, Kansas Jackpot, TQHA Sires Cup and Oklahoma-Bred programs.
