A competitive field of 53 two-year-old colts and geldings will compete Sunday, November 1, in six 400-yard trials for the $413,925 Black Gold Futurity Championship at Will Rogers Downs.

The trials, scheduled as races five through ten, will determine the ten fastest qualifiers for the lucrative championship final. The first trial is scheduled for 1:40 p.m. (CDT), with the final trial set for 3:45 p.m.

The Black Gold Futurity Championship will offer a winner's share of $165,569.80, with $70,367.17 going to the runner-up and $45,531.70 to the third-place finisher. The purse includes $112,500 in added money and contributions from the Black Gold Stallion Account.

Several promising juveniles with established stakes experience headline the six trials, including Dulces Fire Z, Apollitikal Dreamer, Dressed N Blackk, Cyber Hostage, Valiant Sass and Eyesa Chick Magnet.

Dulces Fire Z, the 2-1 morning-line favorite in the fifth race, will break from post eight for owner Buckway Ranch LLC and trainer John M. Davis. The Texas-bred gelding by Dulce Sin Tacha out of Fires Relentless, by Hes Relentless, was bred by T & M Dinwiddie Racing. Eduardo Escobedo has the riding assignment. Dulces Fire Z has competed in the $270,000 Wyoming Governor's Cup Futurity and faces a field that includes Kissin Lane Lo (3-1), trained by Jason Olmstead, and Tymetogojoe (4-1), another Olmstead trainee.

The sixth race features Apollitikal Dreamer, the 2-1 morning-line favorite, who captured the $264,000 Prairie Meadows Gold Futurity earlier this season. Owned and bred by Brenda Reiswig, the Oklahoma-bred gelding is by Apollitical Jess out of One Kool Dreamer, by Hes Relentless. Jason Olmstead trains the juvenile, with Ramiro Garcia aboard. Apollitikal Dreamer will face Hardtohock (3-1), a Kiss My Hocks gelding trained by Saul Mendoza, and Henry Standing Bear (4-1), representing Buckway Ranch LLC and trainer John Davis.

Dressed N Blackk, a Desirio gelding owned by Madison Dunn, heads the seventh trial as the 2-1 morning-line choice. Bred by Dunn Ranch, the Oklahoma-bred juvenile, out of Eddie Jym, by Corona Cocktail, is a full brother to AQHA Racing champion filly Pj Chick In Black. Juan Pulido will ride for trainer Jed Vane. His principal competition includes TS Cyber Flash (3-1), a Cyber Monday gelding trained by Fernando Manriquez, and Urban Cowboy 123 (4-1), a Flying Cowboy 123 gelding from the Olmstead barn.

The eighth trial brings together Cyber Hostage and RR Dash Thru Fire, two stakes-tested juveniles with strong qualifying credentials. Cyber Hostage, the 2-1 favorite, is owned by Heavy Hitters Racing Stables and trained by John Davis. The Oklahoma-bred gelding is by Cyber Monday out of DF Zookie Cookie, by Hes Relentless, and was bred by Darling Farms. Eduardo Escobedo will ride.

RR Dash Thru Fire, the 3-1 second choice, enters with two wins, three seconds and one third from seven starts and earnings of $70,986. The Coronado Cartel colt, out of Diva On Fire, by Walk Thru Fire, finished third in the $345,000 Valley Junction Futurity (G3) at Prairie Meadows on September 25. Owned by Abraham Harms and trained by Jason Olmstead, the Reliance Ranches LLC-bred juvenile was a $30,000 Heritage Place purchase. Francisco Ramirez Jr. will ride from the inside post.

Valiant Sass, the 2-1 favorite in the ninth race, represents 918 Bloodstock and trainer Dee Keener. The Oklahoma-bred colt by Valiant Hero out of Jess Sass Me, by Mr Jess Perry, was bred by Speed LLC. Rodrigo Cruz has the riding assignment. Valiant Sass will meet Brooks Jess Hockn (3-1), trained by Olmstead, and Ghirardelli Dark (5-1), a Good Candy P gelding trained by Tyler Crawford.

The final trial features Eyesa Chick Magnet, the 2-1 morning-line favorite, who finished second in the Valley Junction Futurity (G3) at Prairie Meadows. Owned, bred and trained by Stacy Charette-Hill, the Oklahoma-bred gelding is by PYC Paint Your Wagon out of Eyesa Candy Chick, by Country Chicks Man. Cristian Esqueda will ride from post five.

Eyesa Chick Magnet faces Crash For Kash (3-1), a Dulce Sin Tacha colt trained by Olmstead, and Taco Tuezday (4-1), a Cyber Monday gelding also from the Olmstead barn. Crash For Kash is owned by Tom Maher and Stephen N. Williams, while Taco Tuezday races for Brenda Reiswig.

Olmstead, the nation's leading Quarter Horse trainer by earnings through October 27, will have a particularly strong presence throughout the six trials, saddling multiple contenders in pursuit of positions in the championship final.

The Black Gold Futurity program is restricted to eligible offspring of participating stallions and continues to provide substantial earning opportunities for nominated juveniles. The championship purse of $413,924.50 includes $286,960 from nomination payments, $36,250 from the Black Gold Stallion Account and $112,500 in added money, less the designated stallion award allocation.

Sunday's program also includes three 350-yard Mystery Derby trials for Oklahoma-bred three-year-olds, scheduled as races two through four. The first post for the 11-race card is noon (CDT).

The ten fastest qualifiers from the Black Gold Colt & Gelding Futurity trials will advance to the championship final, with all finalists required to provide an additional negative hair test before entering.
