Trials Headline Friday's Eight-Race Program at the Elko County Fair

ELKO, NV–AUGUST 21, 2024–M E Mitzy, a stakes-winning daughter of the Eskendereya (TB) stallion Mitole (TB) racing for Dave Merritt, will make her next start in Friday's 350-yard Elko Intermountain Futurity trials at the Elko County Fair.

M E Mitzy has earned $16,711 from five starts in Idaho and Wyoming, and her two wins include the 350-yard, $26,000 Roche Veterinary Futurity at Jerome, Idaho, on June 16. Jarrett Mills trains the bay filly.

M E MItzy drew post 8 and will be ridden by Eric Ayala in the first of four trials.

A total of 34 2-year-olds are entered in the Elko Intermountain Futurity trials. The fastest qualifiers will meet in the $20,000-added final on September 2.

Also on Friday, Jazzing Dynasty leads a group of 14 sophomores entered in two 400-yard Elko County Derby trials.

A stakes-winning daughter of JR Dynasty Mountain owned and trained by Wes Kellett, Jazzing Dynasty is coming off of a second-place finish, a half of a length behind winner Relentlessdebuchery, in the 330-yard, $89,850 Gary Waite Maiden Stakes (not black type) at Wyoming Downs on July 28. The filly has banked $51,383 from seven races this season.

Jazzing Dynasty drew post 4 and will be ridden by Jose Figueroa in the second heat.

The fastest qualifiers will meet in the September 2, $15,000-added Elko County Derby final.
