Six Mexican-Bred Quarter Horse juveniles will compete on Sunday, November 8, in the 14th running of the Clásico César Pedrero Anaya at Hipódromo de las Américas. The stakes event offers an estimated purse of $16,400 USD and features a field of 2-year-olds seeking their first career victories.

The 330-yard event is scheduled as the seventh race on the card, with post time set for approximately 6:00 p.m. local time. The race is restricted to Mexican-bred Quarter Horses that were maidens at the time of nomination.

Krash Jumpns leads the field as the 2-1 morning-line favorite. The 2-year-old filly has finished second five times in nine career starts and enters Sunday's race looking for a first victory.

The daughter of Krash Cartel finished sixth in the Grade 3 Futurity Desafío Crianza Mexicana on October 18. Prior to that effort, Krash Jumpns finished second in a September 27 trial and was also runner-up in a 300-yard maiden race on September 6, missing the victory by a nose.

Bred in Mexico by Wilhelm Loewen, Krash Jumpns is out of the Jumpn mare Jumpns Last Call. The filly races for San Lazaro de ARARA and is trained by Victor Jarillo Sanchez. Jockey E. Cruz will ride from post five.

Se Shiny Crown enters as the second choice at 5-2 on the morning line. The 2-year-old colt is coming off a strong second-place finish in the Consolation of the Futurity Desafío Crianza Mexicana on October 18.

In that race, Se Shiny Crown took the early lead and held it for much of the 350-yard event before being caught near the finish by Red Stolen Show. The effort marked Se Shiny Crown's first runner-up finish in five career starts.

The son of Coronas Bar is out of the Apollitical Jess mare On Fleek. Bred in Mexico by Rancho Hda Santiago, Se Shiny Crown races for Cuadra Santa Elena and is trained by Carlos Alberto Jose Perez. Jockey J. Loredo will ride the colt from post six.

With both leading contenders coming off competitive efforts against stakes company, Sunday's Clásico César Pedrero Anaya offers another chance for these young runners to earn their first career victory and add a stakes win to their records.
