GRAND PRAIRIE, TX.—November 4, 2026

Paints and Appaloosas will take center stage Saturday evening at Lone Star Park, highlighted by three stakes races in the 12-race program. The night’s featured event is the Grade 1 $93,180 Texas Hero Futurity, joined by the $20,000 Texas Hero Juvenile Stakes and the $12,500 Olympia Joe Stakes. More than $125,000 in stakes purses will be up for grabs, with the first post at 6:05 p.m.

The Grade 1 $93,180 Texas Hero Futurity will headline the evening as the eleventh race on the card. A field of ten juveniles returns from the October 16 trials, having earned their places among the ten fastest qualifiers. The 2-year-olds will compete at 400 yards, with post time scheduled for approximately 10:25 p.m.

Chile Gato, the fastest qualifier, leads the field as the 4-5 morning-line favorite. The dual-registered colt by Chilitos dominated the trial heat in a gate-to-wire victory and enters the final with an impressive record against Quarter Horse competition.

With two wins in four career starts, Chile Gato earned a berth in the Grade 1 $3 million All American Futurity after winning a trial against Quarter Horses. In the prestigious final, Chile Gato finished third, narrowly missing second place, and proved competitive against some of the nation's top juveniles.

The Texas-bred colt is owned by Omar Paredes, who also owns the colt's sire, Chilitos. Out of the Dash Ta Fame mare Famous Phoebe, Chile Gato is trained by Jed Vane and will break from the outside post ten with jockey Francisco Calderon aboard.

Jvm Hot Victoria enters as the second choice at 4-1 on the morning line. The talented filly finished second to Chile Gato in the trials after breaking second and holding that position throughout the race. Although unable to challenge the winner that evening, Jvm Hot Victoria brings plenty of experience and a strong record into the final.

With five victories from eight career starts, Jvm Hot Victoria has already captured the Grade 3 $61,972 Colors of the Alamo Paint & Appaloosa Futurity and the TPHBA Paint Horse Juvenile Stakes.

Owned by Juan Luis Leon, the Texas-bred daughter of Chilitos is out of the Gol to Go mare Victoria Camila. Trainer Wendy Garcia will saddle Jvm Hot Victoria from post five, with Garcia's son, Rosendo Pina-Garcia, the filly's regular rider, returning to the irons.

Earlier in the evening, the fifth race will feature the $20,000 Texas Hero Juvenile Stakes, bringing together eight 2-year-olds who did not qualify for the Futurity final. The field will race 400 yards, with post time set for approximately 7:49 p.m.

Flying G Litos leads the field as the 7-2 morning-line favorite. The 2-year-old gelding qualified earlier this season for the $61,972 Colors of the Alamo Paint & Appaloosa Futurity. After a troubled start that included breaking outward and bumping, Flying G Litos crossed the wire third but was later placed fifth.

With two wins, a second-place finish, and two third-place finishes, Flying G Litos has shown consistency throughout the season for owners Flying G Litos Partnership.

Bred in Texas by April Galindo, the son of Chilitos, is out of The Louisiana Cartel mare Rc Smokin Hot. Trainer Arnold Lewis will saddle Flying G Litos from post seven, with jockey Jose R. Herbert aboard.

The Paint and Appaloosa stakes action will begin in the third race with the $12,500 Olympia Joe Stakes, featuring eight runners aged three and older competing at 400 yards. Post time is scheduled for about 6:57 p.m.

La Cholula leads the field as the 5-2 morning-line favorite after a determined dead-heat victory in the Karen Utecht Memorial Stakes. The 4-year-old filly rallied strongly in the final yards, battling Ima Chili to the wire in a finish neither runner would surrender.

La Cholula also captured the G.C.F.A. Paint & Appaloosa Maturity earlier this season, raising the career win total to five.

Owned and bred in Texas by Isabel "Izzy" Huitron, La Cholula is a daughter of Chilitos, out of the Shazoom mare Trampstamp. Trainer Shae Cox will saddle La Cholula from post six, with jockey J.R. Ramirez Jr. returning to guide the filly.

With established stakes winners, promising juveniles, and several of the division's leading competitors entered, Saturday evening promises an exciting night of Paint and Appaloosa racing at Lone Star Park as the 2026 fall meeting continues.

The races at Lone Star Park can be watched on Q-Racing Video.
