Yo Morning Delite Scores Sixth Win Of Season In $24,500 Pen Pal Stakes at Arapahoe Park

AURORA, CO—OCTOBER 18, 2024—Yo Morning Delite raced his sixth win and fourth stakes victory this year on Thursday with a neck victory over post-time favorite Kali I in the $24,500 Pen Pal Stakes at Arapahoe Park.

The Wyoming invader drifted out under jockey Jacob Cardenas as he completed the 350 yards in 17.745 seconds, a 101-speed index into a 15 mph crosswind. The Pen Pal winner's purse is valued at $14,700.

Trainer Zachary Quezada saddled the 4-year-old son of multiple stakes sire Brindis Por Cayenne to his 16th career win from 24 starts for owner-breeder Gerald F. Kaul. Out of the Southern Cartel mare Rs Afternoon Delite, Yo Morning Delite has earned $183,680.

This year, the sorrel gelding also won the WABRA Wyoming Bred Maturity, Wyoming Downs Ron Moosman Stakes, and the Silk & Spurs Maturity.

Bred in Colorado by Darling Farms, from the No Secrets Here mare A Secret Episode, the 5-year-old earned $4,900 to bring her earnings to $148,069.

Indeed, finished one length back to earn $2,450 for owner Jose Castaneda. Trainer Jose Chavez named jockey Manuel Meza to ride the 6-year-old Wagon Tales gelding out of Dancing Iam by Apollo (TB). Winner of the Rocky Mountain Championship Stakes in 2022, Indeed has earned $103,067.
