Ts Seven Dollar Beer Holds On To Win $25,000 Jim Bader Juvenile

Third-fastest qualifier Ts Seven Dollar Beer held off fastest qualifier Kan I Get An Amen to capture the $25,000 Jim Bader Juvenile Stakes on Saturday at Prairie Meadows.

Ridden by Gonzalo Valles Jr., Ts Seven Dollar Beer battled for the lead before taking command and holding on by a nose. The gelding covered 350 yards in :18.211 over a muddy track. Kan I Get An Amen finished second, with Ts Wild Dream another head back in third.

A homebred for Thomas Scheckel and trained by Fernando Manriquez, Ts Seven Dollar Beer is by Moonifisant, out of the Carters Cartel mare Agent Carter.

The victory improved his record to two wins and two thirds from nine starts. The $8,000 winner's share boosted his earnings to $26,444. Earlier this season, he was a finalist in the Hawkeye Futurity.

Fastest qualifier Kan I Get An Amen finished second under Angel Ramirez for owner and breeder Jason Kindle and trainer Tony Jones. The gelding is by Cyber Monday, out of the Streak And Dash mare Lil Blue Runaway.

Kan I Get An Amen now has two seconds and two thirds from five starts, with earnings of $11,876.

Ts Wild Dream and jockey Francisco Calderon crossed the wire third for owner Paul Tonderum and trainer Lane Johnston. Bred by Thomas Scheckel, the gelding is by Cyber Monday, out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Jess Wild For You.

Ts Wild Dream now has one third-place finish from three starts, with earnings of $3,300.

Ts Extra Cash finished fourth, followed by Slim Pyckins, Mr Bug Perry, Never A Long Shot, Sfs Bonita Chic and Gold Flys Higher. Awagonformylady was scratched.
