The Prize Ferarri Extends Win Streak in John and Elouise Hamilton Memorial

The Prize Ferarri extended his winning streak to five consecutive races with a victory in the $4,500 John and Elouise Hamilton Memorial at the Eastern Idaho Fair on Monday.

Open to Quarter Horses, Paints and Appaloosas ages 3 and older, the 300-yard event saw The Prize Ferarri fly late to score by 3/4 length in :15.235. Ridden by Oscar Cervantes, the 8-year-old gelding races for RTM Stables LLC and Bryon Goody and is trained by Mark Hanson.

Bred by Weetona Stanley, The Prize Ferarri is by The Louisiana Cartel and out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Ferarri Fast Prize. He was purchased for $22,000 at the Heritage Place Yearling Sale and was later a $30,000 repurchase at the Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale.

The Prize Ferarri improved his record to 43-27-7-6 with earnings of $230,388. He entered Monday's race off back-to-back victories in the White Pine Raceway Governor's Stakes and Jack Rhoden Memorial Stakes.

Sheknowsshesmokn finished second under Brayan Juarez for owner and breeder Edward Jamison and trainer Glen Jamison. The 4-year-old filly is by Daguerre and out of the Jumpn mare Smokn Mirrors. She now has a record of 21-4-9-5 with earnings of $33,614 and finished third in last year's Idaho Cup Derby.

Leo Dash crossed the wire third under Xavier Pickner for owner John Five and trainer Dale Crooked Arm. Bred by EG High Desert Farms, the 4-year-old gelding is a $5,700 Los Alamitos Equine Sale graduate. He is by A Mere Felix and out of the Hawkinson mare Conqueta Dash. Leo Dash has a record of 22-2-3-5 with earnings of $19,146.

Ms Clara and Bdr Famous Sunset completed the order of finish. Bw Just A Ruger was scratched at the gate.
