Tf Jess Doing Curls Gets Fourth Win In A Row In $20,000 Gillespie County Fair Sprint Classic Stakes

FREDERICKSBURG, TX–AUGUST 24, 2024–Heavy favorite Tf Jess Doing Curls scores his fourth consecutive victory this season in the $20,000 Gillespie County Fair Sprint Classic Stakes on Saturday.

Piloted by Oscar Andrade Jr, Tf Jess Doing Curls led the field of nine form gate-to-wire, clocking a 103 speed index in 13.203 seconds with an eight mph crosswind. The 250-yard effort paid $4.40 to win.

Tf Jess Doing Curls defeated Jess Star Struck, ridden by Gerardo Luna, by 3/4 of a length. Louisiana Moves and jockey Claudio Aguilar followed a half-length behind for third.

Owned and trained by Jorge Rubio, Tf Jess Doing Curls has six career wins from ten starts, including the Delta Dash Stakes in June. The $12,000 winner's share of the purse increased the son of One Sweet Jess' earnings to $63,440.

Breeder Tate Farms of Louisiana sold the three-year-old to his owner for $10,700 in the LQHBA Yearling Sale. He is out of the Carters Cartel mare Whip Curl.

Jess Star Struck was bred in Texas out of the Corona Cartel mare Medea. The three-year-old gelding has four wins and $96,400 in earnings, including the Sam Houston 250 Stakes in June. Victor Fierro trains the son of Jess Lips for owner Eleazar Martinez Sr. Dunn Ranch bred him.

Santiago Riojas Jr saddled third-place finisher Louisiana Moves for owner Isabel Huitron. The four-year-old daughter of The Louisiana Cartel has two wins from 16 starts with $33,857 in the bank. Rain Racing LLC bred the $10,000 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale graduate in Utah out of RNL Makn An Exit by Maknmoves.

Gigi Gets Half, Fabulous Royale, Freighttrainacumin, Flashy Bp, Marys Corazoncito and Ottyes Royal complete the order of finish.
