Silvers Creek Tops Hadley-Giles Futurity Qualifiers at Weber Downs

Recent Elko Intermountain Futurity winner Silvers Creek continued her strong late-season campaign Sunday when she posted the fastest qualifying time from five trials for the $30,000-added Hadley-Giles Futurity at Weber Downs.

The 10 fastest 2-year-olds from Sunday's 350-yard trials advanced to the Hadley-Giles Futurity final, scheduled for October 4.

Silvers Creek turned in the day's quickest clocking of :17.481 while winning the fifth and final trial by a neck over fellow qualifier Bp Southern Justice. The Utah-bred filly broke from post three under jockey Jayden R. Ironeyes and refused to yield in the drive to the wire.

Owned by Larry and Joyce Mower, trained by Joe Hadley and bred in Utah by the Mowers, Silvers Creek is a daughter of multiple stakes sire Conn Creek from the Vital Sign mare Sheza Signature.

The victory was the fourth in six career starts for Silvers Creek, who has also finished second once and earned $29,631. She entered Sunday's trials off a victory in the Elko Intermountain Futurity and was also a finalist in the Beehive Futurity.

Interesting View posted the second-fastest qualifying time when he went gate-to-wire to win the second trial by 1 3/4 lengths in :17.505. Dakota Wood rode the gray gelding for trainer Mark Hanson.

Interesting View races for RTM Stables LLC and Bryon Goody and was bred in California by Steve D. Burns DVM. The gelding is by Seperate Interest from Panoramic View, by Favorite Cartel.

A $15,000 purchase at the 2025 Heritage Place Yearling Sale, Interesting View has won three of four career starts and earned $8,200. He also finished third in the Prineville Futurity.

Bp Southern Justice completed the three fastest qualifiers with a :17.522 clocking after finishing second by a neck to Silvers Creek in the fifth trial. Mark A. Jasso was aboard the Flying Cowboy 123 filly for trainer Rigoberto Guillen.

Owned by Johan Coss and bred in Oklahoma by Bill Price, Bp Southern Justice is out of Bp Southern Mariah, by Southern Cartel. She was a $19,000 graduate of the 2025 Heritage Place Yearling Sale.

Bp Southern Justice has one win and one second from five starts with earnings of $8,127. She was previously a finalist in the AQRA Open Presidents Spring Juvenile.

The remaining qualifiers, in order of time, were Easter Spcle Miracle (:17.764), Wacky Wednesday (:17.777), Moonlighting Monday (:17.790), Mg Private Call (:17.844), D Batgirl Has Risen (:17.852), Ojd Shez All Freight (:17.864), and My Favorite Kiss 48 (:17.869).
