Ruse Ticle Knockout Fastest In Will Rogers Oaks Trials

Ruse Ticle Knockout turned in the fastest qualifying time from three trials for the $50,000-added Will Rogers Oaks on Monday, October 5, at Will Rogers Downs.
The 3-year-old fillies competed over 440 yards, with the 10 fastest qualifiers advancing to the October 19 final.
Ruse Ticle Knockout won the opening trial in :21.569 under jockey Edwin Escobedo to earn the top spot on the qualifying list. After racing close to the early pace, she battled Audreys Lil Cowgirl through the middle and latter stages before holding her rival by a half-length at the wire.
Owned by Mi Serenity and trained by Marc Jungers, Ruse Ticle Knockout was bred in Texas by Five Puig Racing LLC and is a $210,000 TQHA Yearling Sale graduate. She is by World Champion Apollitical Jess and out of stakes winner Adolph Tres Knockout ($136,184), by Tres Seis, winner of the Oklahoma Futurity (G3). Ruse Ticle Knockout is a full sister to champion As And Js ($531,134), winner of the Junos Request Stakes (G2).
Coming off a sixth-place finish in the All American Oaks (G1), Ruse Ticle Knockout improved her record to 15-7-2-4 with earnings of $224,850. Earlier this season, she finished third in the Los Alamitos Oaks (G1) and second in the La Pacifica Handicap.
Emerald Bay dominated the final trial to post the second-fastest qualifying time of :21.576. Breaking sharply under Roman Cruz, the filly quickly took command and cruised home by 2 1/4 lengths.
Owned by Wishbone Partnership and trained by Dee Keener, Emerald Bay was bred in Oklahoma by Mike Vaughan and was a $60,000 repurchase at the Heritage Place Yearling Sale. She is by champion Flying Cowboy 123 and out of the stakes-placed Corona Cartel mare Aqua Girl. Her female family includes World Champion Wave Carver ($1,005,946) and AQHA Dam of Distinction and Broodmare of the Year Runaway Wave.
Emerald Bay now owns a record of 16-6-4-4 with earnings of $198,180. This season, she has finished third in the Oklahoma Derby (G3) and second in the Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Oaks (G3).
Audreys Lil Cowgirl earned the third-fastest qualifying time of :21.649 after finishing second to Ruse Ticle Knockout in the opening trial. Despite being crowded at the start, she showed speed and dueled with the eventual winner before being bested late.
Ridden by Armando Alvidrez, Audreys Lil Cowgirl is owned by Becky and Lynn Husman and trained by Jason Olmstead. Bred by Lynn, Becky and Lowell Husman, she is by champion Flying Cowboy 123 and out of the Capo De Capi mare Zoes Sassy Miracle. She has compiled a record of 16-2-3-4 with earnings of $59,021 and finished third in the Prairie Meadows Gold Derby earlier this season.
The $50,000-added Will Rogers Oaks final is scheduled for October 19 at Will Rogers Downs.
