Pappajeto and Bnb Lighting McQueen Win The Two Divisional Zoom Zoom Zoom Stakes

ELKO, NV–SEPTEMBER 2, 2024–Four quarter horse stakes races were slated on Monday's race card at Elko County Fair, including the two divisional Zoom Zoom Zoom Stakes (not black type). The track was fast, with no wind on a clear afternoon. Pappajeto and Bnb Lighting McQueen were the victors of their respective division race.

Division 1

Although he's visited the winner's circle 15 times in his career, Pappajeto got his first stakes win of the year in the $7,000 Zoom Zoom Zoom Stakes-Divistion 1.

The four-time stakes winner ridden by Jose Figueroa was favored to win, clocking a 106 speed index in 6.373 seconds. The 1/2-length victory over Vf Give Me A Prize and Julian Zavala paid $4.00 to win. Chianti and rider Ricardo Del Cid placed third.

Pappajeto has lit the board 30 of 37 starts and the $4,110 payday improved his earnings to $94,157. The eight-year-old son of Pappasito is bred and owned by trainer David Burt and Linda Burt of Utah. He is out of Streaking Secrets by A Streak Of Cash.

Owned and trained by Lynn McNeely, runner-up Vf Give Me A Prize has four wins from 29 starts and over $41,000 in the bank. Victory Farms bred the five-year-old son of First Prize Stanley in Oklahoma. He is out of Red Temptress by Rolls Of Romance.

Jesus Nolazo saddled third-place finisher Chianti for owner Randy Maldonado. The multiple-winning daughter of Pappasito was bred in Wyoming by Dan and Patricia Baker out of Bf Memory Lane by Maknmoves. She has earned $11,552.

La Punsada, Blitz Chick, Pcr Koda, and Shezabear round out the order of finish.

Division 2

Bnb Lighting McQueen scored his first victory since September of 2021 in the $7,000 Zoom Zoom Zoom Stakes-Division 2.

Trained by Ricardo Castillo, Bnb Lighting McQueen has three career wins from 27 starts, and the $4,110 winner's share of the purse increased his earnings to $24,120.

Jose Espinoza piloted Bnb Lighting McQueen to a 1/2-length victory over Look James and Jose Figueroa in 6.417 seconds, clocking a 102 speed index. The 100-yard effort paid $11.20 to win on 4-1 odds. Dash N The Wind, ridden by Cesar Moreno, followed in third 3/4 of a length behind the top pair.

Bnb Racing LLC and R Broderick bred Bnb Lighting McQueen in Utah out of the Dominyun mare Optimyze. Rained Browning owns the five-year-old son of Coronado Cartel.

Trainer Farrol Cunningham saddled Look James for owner-breeder Carolyn and Adrian Aleman. The four-year-old son of Ivory James has two wins from 17 starts with $18,429 in earnings. He is out of Righteous Look by Righteous Brother.

Third-place finisher Dash N The Wind is bred by F. Bert Lamb and owned by Melody Olsen. The Glade Van Tassel-trained gelding has lit the board 32 of 47 starts with 11 wins and $57,770 in the bank. The 11-year-old stakes-winning son of Furyofthewind is out of Eyes Flashy by Mr Eye Opener.

The remaining order of finish is Separate Kisses, Drop A Corona, El Serafin and Freds Livin The Life.
