Onemorewildtrain Steps Up In Lakeview Dash Win On Saturday

NEW ORLEANS, LA–SEPTEMBER 7, 2024–Onemorewildtrain got his first win of the season on Saturday when he defeated a field of five other state-breds in the $50,000 Lakeview Dash Stakes at Fair Grounds Race Course.

Starting off a runner-up effort in the Gentilly Dash Stakes in his last start on August 16, Onemorewildtrain raced over the 250 yards in 13.259 seconds, an 89-speed index into a 15 mph headwind on a muddy racing surface. Guadalupe Lucio, Jr. had the riding assignment aboard the 4-year-old son of world champion sire Freighttrain B.

Leonel Hernandez trains the brown gelding for owner Jose Carlos Lopez. Bred by Riley Blanchet from the Carters Cartel mare One More Card, Onemorewildtrain earned $30,000 to bring his earnings total to $174,916 with six wins in 18 starts.

Graded winner Tuckers Prize was neck off the winner to earn $10,000 for second. Owner-trainer Preston Jourdan named jockey Ubaldo Luna to ride the 8-year-old Fast Prize Dash gelding. Kirby and Phillip Bruchhaus bred the $371,515 earner from the Game Patriot mare BB Secrets Game.

Under jockey Rolando Cabrera, Geaux Party Geaux was a neck back in the blanket finish to earn $5,500 for third. Guillermo Martinez trains the Tee Cos filly for owner Manuel Alvarez. Lyle Guillory bred the brown filly from the Jls Party Wagon mare First Down Party. She has earned $54,790.

Ks Grand Kiss, San Lorenzo Girl, and Kp Paintmeasymphony completed the field.
