Notin Missing Here Returns To Form In Gary & Sherilyn Blattner Memorial Derby Trials

POCATELLO, ID–MAY 4, 2025–Notin Missing Here returned to the winner's tab on Sunday, in her 3-year-old debut, to post the fastest qualifying time for the $20,000-est. Gary & Sherilyn Blattner Memorial Derby at Pocatello Downs.
The 10 fastest qualifiers, from three trial races for 3-year-olds, contested on Sunday's card, will return to the Idaho racetrack on Sunday, May 25, to vie for a share of the winner's purse going a distance of 350 yards.
Notin Missing Here put in a solid effort under jockey Jesus Canales to win the second trial (race 6) by a half while posting the fastest time of 17.592 seconds, a 101 speed index into a 6 mph crosswind.
Trainer Sergio Canales saddled the daughter of multiple stakes sire Kvn Corona to her fourth career win in 10 starts for owner Michael K. McKell. Winner of last season's Spring Classic Futurity, she was also third in the Bitterroot Futurity(RG3) an dfourth in the Wild West Futurity(RG3).
McColee Land & Livestock LLC bred the filly in Utah from the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Missmerizing. She has earned $37,701.
La Peralta was a gate-to-wire winner under jockey Damian Correl in the opening trial to get the second fastest clocking of 17.774 seconds, a 95 speed index into a 5 mph crosswind.
Lorenzo Marquez Campos trains the Docs Best Card filly for owner Salvador Banuelos, Jr. Making her first start off the West Coast, La Peralta was bred in California by Jaime H. Gomez. Out of the Special Leader mare Stuckonafeeling, La Peralta has earned $22,735 off three wins.
