M E Ettago Relent Gets The Win In The Idaho Bred Overnight Derby
MALAD, ID–AUGUST 4, 2024–M E Ettago Relent crushes the competition with a wire-to-wire 1 1/4-length victory in the $11,000 Idaho Bred Overnight Derby (not black type) at Oneida County Fair on Sunday.
Jockey Rodolfo Arvizu piloted M E Ettago Relent to her first stakes win of 2024 in :15.681 seconds, clocking a 90 speed index. The post-time favorite's 300-yard victory paid $3.60 to win on 3-5 odds.
Church Appeal, ridden by Oscar Villa, followed in second, 3/4-lengths ahead of Principal Smith and rider Jose Lopez, who placed third.
Jarrett Mills saddled M E Ettago Relent for owners-breeders Dave Merritt and Kim Newman. The daughter of Hes Relentless earned a $6,600 paycheck for the victory, which boosted her lifetime earnings to $40,414.
