Living The Dreamm Tops Day 1 of WABRA Wyoming Bred QH Futurity Trials

Living The Dreamm turned in the fastest qualifying time Saturday afternoon at Sweetwater Downs as five trials determined the five finalists for Day 1 of the $100,000-added WABRA Wyoming Bred QH Futurity.
The 330-yard final for accredited Wyoming-bred 2-year-olds will be contested Saturday, September 26. The second five fastest qualifiers will come from five trials on Sunday.
Living The Dreamm, a 2-year-old son of multiple stakes sire Bodacious Dash, rolled to a 1 1/2-length victory in the third of five trials while stopping the timer in :16.528, the fastest clocking of the afternoon. The chestnut gelding took command past mid-stretch and drew clear under jockey Aram S. Martinez.
Jarrett Mills trains Living The Dreamm for owner CG Racing LLC. Bred in Wyoming by CG Racing LLC and David Hill, he is out of Kd Ladys Luck, by Ec Jet One.
Living The Dreamm has compiled a 2-1-3 record from six career starts and has earned $37,780. He was third in the Ron Cook Wyoming Bred Futurity earlier this season.
Dashn Steffie was nearly as quick, posting the second-fastest qualifying time of :16.532 while winning the fourth trial by 1 1/2 lengths. The daughter of multiple stakes sire Jr Dynasty Mountain broke alertly, took control and held her advantage through the wire under jockey Jose Juan Olivo.
Kylie Valenzuela conditions Dashn Steffie for Bar 3 Quarter Horses. Ron and Laurie Moosman bred the bay filly in Wyoming from Steffies Dashn Moves, by Maknmoves.
Dashn Steffie has won three of five career starts and earned $28,474. Her juvenile campaign includes a finalist in the Ron Cook Wyoming Bred Futurity, and the 307HR Wyoming Bred Futurity.
CG A Moody Willow produced the third-fastest qualifying time while finishing second to Living The Dreamm in the third trial. The 2-year-old filly completed the 330 yards in :16.753, finishing 1 1/2 lengths behind the fastest qualifier after chasing the winner through the stretch.
Chad Giles owns and trains CG A Moody Willow, with Rey Hernandez aboard. Bred in Wyoming by Gary Laramie, she is by Mister Moody Blue from Gl Bulletproof Bride, by Bridlewood. The filly has earned $5,060 from four career starts, with two runner-up finishes.
The remaining two qualifiers, in order of time, were Chilled Coronas (:16.760) and Mario Cartell (:16.783).
