Idaho Jess Wins The Thomas Market Futurity In A Three Way Photo Finish

MALAD, OR–AUGUST 11–Idaho Jess won the nod in a three-way photo finish of the $5,800 Thomas Market Overnight Futurity over La Iguana and Hidden Version at Oneida County Fair on Sunday.

Oscar Villa piloted Idaho Jess to his second career victory from five starts. The son of Jess Got Easier clocked an 85 speed index in :15.850 seconds, which paid $8.80 for the win. La Iguana, ridden by Jesus Flores placed second by a neck over post-time favorite Hidden Version and Eric Ayala.

The $3,480 payday increased Idaho Jess' earnings to $9,018 for owner Dorian Montero. Larry Chapple of Idaho bred the Martin Vega trained gelding from the Jesse James Jr mare Jesse Jayne.

Trainer Ricardo Castillo saddled La Iguana for owner Benedito Estrada. The daughter of Eye On Corona has yet to break her maiden from five starts. She was bred by Lee Rodgers and Raymond McGee out of the Snowboud mare Lynda With A Y.

Wes Kellett trains Hidden Version for owner McKinlee Kellett. Bred by Jordan and Jessica Hadley, the winning daughter of Winners Version is out of Shez A Motor Scooter by Heza Motor Scooter.

Vf Gunna Get Ya, Chase This Creek, Paint The City, A Lethal Favorite and Kimmie round out the order of finish.
