Hez More Lethal Gets The Job Done In The 89 And Under Stakes
MALAD, OR–AUGUST 11, 2024–Hez More Lethal flew from the gates in the $5,600 89 and Under Stakes at Oneida County Fair (not black type) on Sunday and defeated the favorite Sketchy Politics by a 1/2-length.
Goel Cruz piloted Hez More Lethal to victory in :15.831 seconds, clocking an 85 speed index. The 300-yard winning effort paid $7.00 on a $2.00 wager. Jose Espinoza rode Sketchy Politics to second place 1 3/4-lengths ahead of Jesses Flys and jockey Jesus Flores, who got the show. Trump 45 and Prada N Marfa followed to complete the order of finish.
Trainer Alvaro Torres saddled Hez More Lethal for owner-breeder Darian Burt. The five-year-old son of Tres Seisb has a record of 2-2-1 from seven starts and the $3,360 payday boosted his earnings to $12,686. He was bred out of the First Down Dash mare More Lethal in Utah.
Trainer Ricardo Castillo owns Sketchy Politics in partnership with Rainee Browning. The three-year-old daughter of Apollitical Spirit has two wins with $8,850 in the bank. Andy Knight bred the sorrel filly in Oklahoma out of Shouldabeenjoebob by Lesley's Express.
Jesses Flys is owned and trained by Javier Duarte and was bred by Guerrero Morales in New Mexico. The five-year-old winning daughter of Do Me Fly has earned $5,023. She is out of Jesses Pot Of Gold by Jesse James Jr.
