Heavy Favorite Outcome Is Income Gets The Job Done In G.C.F.A Cancellation Juvenile Classic
FREDERICKSBURG, TX–AUGUST 23, 2024–Outcome Is Income got his first stakes win Friday afternoon in the $25,000 G.C.F.A Cancellation Juvenile Classic Stakes at Gillespie County Fair.
With Victor Urieta, Jr in the irons, Outcome Is Income drew off easy from the eight hole and, after a big kick at second call, won the 350-yard stakes by 1 1/2-lengths over Fdd Cupid. The post-time favorite trained by Juan Diaz, Jr. clocked a 91 speed index in :17,751 seconds against an eight mph headwind. The winning effort paid $4.40.
Runner-up Fdd Cupid, ridden by Paulina Ramirez, crossed the wire 3/4 of a length ahead of Miss Chick Chimes and Luis Vivanco, who placed third. Fdd Cupid’s unexpected second-place finish paid $41.00 to place on a $2.00 ticket.
Outcome Is Income broke his maiden in his first start, Oklahoma Futurity trials, qualifying for the Oklahoma Juvenile, where he placed fourth. He later placed third in the Sam Houston Juvenile Stakes.
Tonight’s victory is the son of Kiss My Hocks second from six starts, and the $15,000 winner’s share boosts his bankroll to $37,648 for owner Carlos Ponce. Namgis Quarter Horses LLC bred Outcome Is Income in Texas out of the Big Daddy Cartel mare Mischka Brown.
Conditioned by Ricardo Vallejo, Fdd Cupid has yet to break his maiden from five starts. Tonight’s second-place finish was his first time on the board, increasing his earnings to $6,098. The son of FDD Dynasty is owned by Maria Ugarte and was bred by Stan Sigman and Naia Graham in Texas. The $38,000 TQHA Yearling Sale graduate is out of Hazel Dazel by Corona Cartel.
Trainer Juan Hernandez saddled Miss Chick Chimes for owner M3 Farms. The maiden daughter of Rime Chimes was bred in New Mexico by Elda Ortiz out of Miss Chicks Vision by Chicks A Blazin. She has two third-place finishes from four starts with $4,767 in the bank.
