Fullmoonovrmanhattan Proves Best In $50,000 LQHBA Sale Debutante Stakes

Fullmoonovrmanhattan battled on the front end before putting away her rivals late to score a three-quarter-length victory in Saturday night's $50,000 LQHBA Sale Debutante Stakes at Delta Downs.

Ridden by Pedro Chavarria Espinosa for trainer Jose R. Estrada, Fullmoonovrmanhattan completed the 350 yards in :17.754 over a fast racing surface, earning a 92 speed index. The sorrel filly picked up the $30,000 winner's share of the purse.

Fullmoonovrmanhattan dueled for the early advantage and proved best in the closing yards, defeating a late-running Goldaintyourcolour by three-quarters of a length. Sixes Streakin Blood finished another half-length back in third with a game effort.

Owned by David Dunn and L and S Greenhouse, Inc., Fullmoonovrmanhattan was bred in Louisiana by Spring Hill Farms LLC. The daughter of second-crop sire San Lorenzo is out of Full Moon Dasher, by Dash Ta Fame. She is a half-sister restrcited Grade 1 winner Dashnunder Afullmoon ($711,951).

Saturday's victory was the first in four career starts for Fullmoonovrmanhattan, who has also finished second twice. The $30,000 payday increased her career earnings to $34,400. She was previously a finalist in the Louisiana-Bred Lassie Juvenile.

Goldaintyourcolour rallied late to secure second by a half-length for owner-breeder James Ronald Magnon and earned $10,000. Phillip Calais Jr. trains the daughter of multiple stakes winner Gold Heart Eagle V, who was ridden by Randy Edison Jr.

Out of the Jet Black Patriot mare Blueaintyourcolour, Goldaintyourcolour was a $12,000 RNA at the 2025 LQHBA Yearling Sale. The filly entered Saturday's race with two wins from four starts and earnings of $31,723. Her resume includes a fourth-place finish in the restricted Grade 2 Louisiana-Bred Lassie Futurity. Saturday's runner-up check boosted her earnings to $41,723.

Sixes Streakin Blood collected $5,500 for her third-place effort, finishing a half-length behind Goldaintyourcolour. Victor Manuel Urieta Jr. rode the Miguel Pizana trainee for owner-breeder Gerardo Medina Luna.

The daughter of champion sire Apollitical Blood is out of Miss Kips Streakin, by Streakin Sixes. Sixes Streakin Blood was a $40,000 RNA at the 2025 LQHBA Yearling Sale. She has won once in five starts with a second and a third and has earned $21,620.

The remaining order of finish was Rc Leaving Presence, Rc Charm, Wild Blood Fortunes, Ghost Train T, Carry On Jess and Gator Season. Kj Man Elealicious and Whoozthatlady were scratched.

The LQHBA Sale Debutante Stakes was restricted to accredited Louisiana-bred 2-year-old fillies that competed in the LQHBA Sale Futurity trials but did not qualify for the final.
