Favorite Jesshawk Scores Second Stakes Victory In Los Alamitos Two Million Juvenile

LOS ALAMITOS, CA–DECEMBER 15, 2024–Up close from the start, Favorite Jesshawk was best late on Sunday to win the $30,000 Los Alamitos Two Million Juvenile by half-length at Los Alamitos Race Course.

Jockey Ricardo Ramirez guided this year's Governor's Cup Futurity(G2) winner over 350 yards in 17.562 seconds, a 96-speed index. It was the fifth win in nine career starts for the son of first-crop sire A Mere Felix. Also fourth in the Grade 1 Golden State Million Futurity in November, Favorite Jesshawk has banked $216,861.

Jesus Nuez conditions the California homebred for owner-breeder EG High Desert Farms. The chestnut colt is out of Jess Hawk by One Sweet Jess.

Clanfield Act Stables' Favorite Semental earned $6,750 under jockey Henry Lopez for finishing second. Felix Gonzalez trains the Favorite Cartel colt out of Ventura Jess Jqm by Apollitical Jess. He has earned $26,177 in eight starts.

Lytes Out, a 2-year-old son of champion sire Tempting Dash, finished a head back to earn $3,750 for third. Christopher O'Dell trains the Texas-bred gelding for owner West Texas Racing Partners. T & M Dinwiddle Racing bred the $28,060 earner from the One Famous Eagle mare In The Spotlyte.

Outtasyght, Big Hurt, Powerful Wise Lady, Dash For Power, Vgk Zigfield Follies and Apprehensive completed the field.
