OKLAHOMA CITY, OK– JUNE 1, 2024–Deep Blue got the nod in a photo finish for her third consecutive victory this season in the $296,940,Heritage Place Oaks [G2] at Remington Park on Saturday.

There was congestion in the middle coming away from the gates, but Deep Blue got loose and made a late kick at the wire for first in :19.558 seconds. The post-time favorite, ridden by Ali Rivera, clocked a 97 speed index and the 400-yard winning effort by a head paid $5.20 on 8/5 odds.

Her trainer John Stinebaugh was a little on edge at the start of the race. He said, "When she kind of got bumped on both sides, it made me a little nervous, but she wants to win, and she does.

The Oklahoma-bred filly is three for three in 2024, including an Allowance Race at Remington Park in March, her trial to the Heritage Place Oaks, where she set the fastest qualifying time, and now the finals.

Deep Blue was beaten by 3/4-lengths in last year's Heritage Place Futurity [G1], but this is her first stakes victory. After cashing in the Oaks $124,715 winner's check, the daughter of A Revenant has $370,359 in career earnings with five wins and two seconds from eight career starts.

Lucky Seven Ranch bred Deep Blue out of the Corona Cartel mare Blues Girl Too.

When asked what's next on her agenda, Stinebaugh replied, "She's will headed to Ruidoso Downs for the Oaks there."

Runner-up Running To The Moon has lit the board seven of eight starts with four wins and $77,194 after receiving more than $50,000 for her second-place efforts.

Breeder Rancho El Cabresto sold Running To The Moon in the 2022 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale for $50,000. The California-bred filly sired by First Moonflash is out of Apollitical Dasher by Apollitical Jess.

Third place finisher Tempting Scout was bred by Paragon Farms, LLC in Texas. The daughter of Tempting Dash has lit the board five of six starts with three wins and $124,377 in earnings, including a victory in the Prairie Meadows Gold Futurity.

Breeder Paragon Farms, LLC sold Tempting Scout for $62,000 in the 2022 Heritage Place Yearling Sale. She is out of Apollitical Scout by Apollitical Jess.

Trainer M. Heath Taylor saddled both Running To The Moon and Tempting Scout for owner Valeriano Racing Stables.

Alliekat Dynasty, San Lorenzo Blood, Rustys Cowgirl, Relentless Fantsy, Midnight Ryde, Sperate Heart and Shez My Chick are the remaining order of finish.
