Baby I Du Bounces In Golden Triangle Roe River QH Stakes Victory

GREAT FALLS, MT–JULY 27, 2024–Multiple stakes winner Baby I Due bounced off a troubled effort in the Sils & Spurt Maturity to on June 23 to win the $9,000 Golden Triangle Roe River QH Stakes (not black type) at Great Falls today.

Baby I Du drifted out under jockey Jacob Cardenas but still finished a nose in front of stablemate Cayenneoverthemoon for the victory. The 4-year-old son of multiple stakes sire Duponte completed the 300 yards in 15.589 seconds, equaling a 97 speed index.

Tryston Matt conditions the 4-year-old Oklahoma-bred for owners Daisy Carlson and Joe Goggins. Flagg Ranch LLC bred the $82,622 earner from the One Famous Eagle mare Lil Baby Eagle.

Runner-up Cayenneoverthemoon races for owner Walter Larson. Trainer Matt named jockey Joe Saenz to ride the Brindis Por Cayenne mare out of Dashmetothemoon by Apollo (TB). Bred in Wyoming by S Bar S, the multiple stakes winner has earned $128,510.

First Moon Cat finished 1-1/2 lengths back to earn $1,170 for owner-breeder Jeff Ray. Trainer Clifton Dennis named Shaunda Larsen to ride the Stray Cat mare out of Yak Ity Tak Go by Juno Dat Dash. Also a stakes winner, First Moon Cat has earned $71,245.
