$63,000 TQHA Sale Graduate Clocks Fastest Training Race From 63 Participants

SELMA, TX–FEBRUARY 19, 2025–A Tempting Game, a $63,000 TQHA Yearling Sale graduate, posted the fastest time from 63 participants in 12 training races contested over 250 yards on Tuesday at Retama Park.

Trainer Miguel Castillo tapped jockey Ali Rivera to ride A Tempting Game to victory in Race 9 for owner AA Farms, LLC. Ricardo Angel Ayala bred the son of Tempting Dash in Texas from the Game Patriot mare Game Dreamer.

A Tempting Game posted the top time of 13.59 seconds.

Trainer Yasmine Fierro sent out an A Revenant colt to win Race 11 in 13.63 seconds, the second fastest clocking. Red Seas Racing Stables LLC paid $24,000 for A Maverick at the TQHA Yearling Sale last July. Triple K Farms bred the colt in Texas from the First Down Dash mare Down Some Gold. The second dam is the stakes-winning and stakes-producing Takin On The Cash mare Takin Some Gold.

Tempting Dash and Jess Good Candy sired two winners each. Other sires with winners on the card include Kiss My Hocks, One Famous Eagle, Favorite Cartel, Big Daddy Cartel, Corona Cartel, The Marfa Lights, and Pyc Prize Time.

John Stinebaugh led all trainers with four winners and Patrick Clemons had two.
