Former horseman and longtime racetrack executive Scott Wells is the featured guest on the newest episode of QH Racing Talk–Weekly, discussing his notable family ties to the sport, lifelong career and love for Quarter Horse racing with host Greg Thompson.
The son of All American Futurity (G1)-winning trainer Ted Wells Jr., who trained 1965 winner Savannah Jr, Scott Wells brings a wealth of Quarter Horse racing knowledge and racetrack management experience to Episode 81. Wells was a trainer himself before going on to serve as a general manager and assistant general manager at multiple racetracks around the world. He is also a noted author and historian of Quarter Horse racing.
Thompson is also joined by racing analyst Yancye Guymon to discuss the upcoming Grade 1 Albuquerque Championship, as well as the B.F. Phillips Stakes (RG3) at Lone Star Park, in the episode’s race preview segment.
