In episode 78, StallioneSearch.com' Greg Thompson remasters a mostly unpublished interview conducted at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, Texas. After the Hall of Fame career in the saddle, Burgess had followed that up with decades of distinguished service as a racing steward in Texas.

The uncovered interview comes shortly after Burgess passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2026, at his home in Grand Prairie, Texas, surrounded by his family. He was 82 years old.

Also on this episode, Greg Thompson and Yancye Guymon analyze the results of the four grade-1's at The Downs At Albuquerque, following the All American weekend in New Mexico.
