OQHRA Releases September Race Nomination Summary

The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association (OQHRA) has released its September Race Nomination Summary, providing updated eligibility numbers and account balances for four upcoming stakes at Will Rogers Downs.

The 2026 Black Gold Futurity, scheduled for November at Will Rogers Downs, currently has 97 horses eligible. As of September 30, the race account has a balance of $344,500.

The 2026 Black Gold Fillies, also scheduled for November, leads the four races with 163 horses remaining eligible and an account balance of $566,700.

Thirty-three horses remain eligible for the 2026 Mystery Derby, which is scheduled for November at Will Rogers Downs. The race account currently stands at $64,300.

The 2026 Will Rogers Oaks, scheduled for October, has 32 horses eligible and an account balance of $129,000 as of September 30.

Combined, the four race accounts currently total $1,104,500, with 325 horses listed as eligible across the four programs. CLICK FOR NOMINATION LIST.

OQHRA reminded horsemen that recurring nomination payments are automatically deducted on the 15th of each month. Owners who wish to drop a horse from a race or discontinue an automatic deduction must notify OQHRA in writing at least five days before the payment due date.

Horsemen are also encouraged to review the September nomination summary and contact OQHRA if there are errors involving a horse's name, ownership or other information so corrections can be made before the next payment.
