OQHRA Releases October Nomination Summary for Five 2027 Oklahoma Stakes Races

The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association (OQHRA) has released its October 31 nomination summary for five major 2027 stakes races scheduled at Remington Park, with a combined 314 eligible nominations and $191,450 in nomination account balances.

The report includes three Oklahoma-bred stakes scheduled for April and two open stakes events set for March during the 2027 Remington Park Quarter Horse racing season.

The 2027 Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Futurity leads the nomination totals with 132 eligible horses and an account balance of $81,450 as of October 31. The race is scheduled for April at Remington Park.

The 2027 Oklahoma Futurity, scheduled for March, follows with 110 eligible horses and $63,000 in nomination account balances.

The 2027 Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Derby, scheduled for April, currently has 25 eligible horses and an account balance of $18,000.

The 2027 Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Oaks, also scheduled for April, has 25 eligible horses and an account balance of $18,000.

Rounding out the five stakes is the 2027 Oklahoma Derby, scheduled for March, with 22 eligible horses and an account balance of $11,000.

Combined, the five stakes account for 314 eligible nominations and $191,450 in nomination account balances through October 31, 2026. These figures reflect the current status of nominations and payments and do not represent the final purses for the respective races.

November 15 Payment Deadline Approaching

OQHRA reminds owners that all November nomination payments must be postmarked by November 15, 2026, to maintain eligibility for their nominated horses.

Owners enrolled in recurring credit card payments will have their payments automatically deducted on the 15th of each month. Those wishing to withdraw a horse from a race or discontinue automatic deductions must notify OQHRA in writing at least five days before the payment due date.

The association also encourages owners to review the October nomination summary carefully and report any discrepancies involving horse names, ownership information, or payment records before the next payment deadline.
