October 30 Nomination Deadline Approaching for Two Lone Star Park Stakes

Horsemen are reminded that nominations close Friday, October 30, for two upcoming Quarter Horse stakes at Lone Star Park, including the $50,000 Guaranteed Lone Star Park Distance Championship and the $50,000 Added Yellow Rose of Texas Stakes.

Both races are scheduled for Saturday, November 14, and there is no fee to nominate for either event.

The Lone Star Park Distance Championship, contested at 870 yards, is open to horses three years old and upward. The $50,000 guaranteed event will provide an opportunity for distance specialists to compete in one of the track's late-season stakes.

The Yellow Rose of Texas Stakes, offering $50,000 in added money, is restricted to accredited Texas-bred fillies and mares three years old and upward. The 400-yard contest will showcase some of the state's top female sprinters.
