November 9 Payment Deadline Approaching For 2027 Shue Fly Stakes

The New Mexico Horse Breeders' Association is reminding owners and trainers that the $950 nomination payment for the 2027 Shue Fly Stakes is due Monday, November 9, 2026.

Horsemen planning to nominate eligible horses to the New Mexico-bred stakes event must submit the $950 payment on or before the November 9 deadline to maintain eligibility.

In addition to the nomination payment, a $1,000 trial entry fee will be required. The deadline for entering the trials will be listed in the track's condition book.

Owners who miss the nomination deadline will have an opportunity to supplement their horses into the race. Supplemental nominations will be accepted for $10,000 at the time of entry to the trials, with the supplemental payment covering all fees.

The Shue Fly Stakes is part of New Mexico's stakes racing program for state-bred Quarter Horses, providing owners and breeders with an opportunity to compete for stakes purses against other New Mexico-bred runners.
