Nominations Open for 2027 Heritage Place Futurity, Derby and Oaks

Nominations are now open for the 2027 Heritage Place Futurity, Derby and Oaks, with estimated purses totaling $1.55 million. The nomination deadline for all three races is November 15, 2026.

All three finals are scheduled for May 29, 2027, giving horsemen an opportunity to compete in some of Oklahoma’s most prominent Quarter Horse stakes. Each race is open to the world.

Online Nominations Available
Horsemen can complete the nomination process through HeritagePlace.com. The website allows users to nominate horses, upload registration papers, pay nomination and sustaining fees, submit horse names and manage additional nomination information.

Heritage Place Futurity
The Grade 1 Heritage Place Futurity will offer an estimated $1 million purse. Billed as Oklahoma’s richest race, the futurity will hold trials May 6–7, 2027, with trial purses of $15,000. The program also includes a $100,000 Heritage Place Juvenile.

Heritage Place Oaks
The Grade 2 Heritage Place Oaks, restricted to 3-year-old fillies, carries an estimated purse of $300,000. Trials are scheduled for May 9, 2027, with $10,000 trial purses.

Heritage Place Derby
The Grade 2 Heritage Place Derby will offer an estimated $250,000 purse. Billed as Oklahoma’s richest derby, the race will hold trials May 8, 2027, with trial purses of $10,000.
